A Canvas for Your Dreams
One of our members spotted this classic Skimmar hull -- the Seadog equivalent of a '62 Corvette sitting unused in a barn -- in an undisclosed location and is offering it to a truly discerning buyer. Unlike the Ronnie Noe hulls that have been worked over, thrust onto light tables and forever severed from their Seadog roots, this is the real deal. If the phrase "good bones" could ever apply to a dinghy, it would here.
Note the original Skimmar chopped-glass construction and delicate, almost ethereal gunwales (be advised, retaining current name a non-negotiable condition of sale):

And given the still-vigorous debate over the optimum construction of the foresection, centerboard trunk and partners, this boat provides the perfect opportunity for you or your marine architect to instruct the rest of the fleet about what a proper Seadog looks like. No preexisting construction to slow down the rebuilding process, and no legacy of failed design philosophy to distract you from achieving the perfect 'dog.
